Regional Director of Institutional Partnerships

The Position

Reporting to the Executive Director for Institutional Partnerships, the Director is an integral team member responsible for building ACUE’s market position by assisting with business and partnership development, marketing, post-sale strategies, and operational tactics that will enable ACUE to achieve its goals. The successful candidate will work closely with ACUE’s Institutional Partnerships team as well as across functions to execute against ACUE’s growth strategy.


I. New Customer Acquisition

  • Identify, develop, and secure new institutional customers to adopt ACUE’s Professional Development program, course and certificate
  • Assist in developing various partnership models, packages, and pricing structures for institutional partnerships, including enterprise agreements, per seat programs, and custom content

II. Account Management & Customer Satisfaction

  • Manage existing accounts within territory
  • Expand reach at existing accounts and identify areas to grow course-takers each year
  • Manage customer feedback loop to ensure customer satisfaction and that such input informs product development
  • Implement CRM to track partnerships from inception through implementations

III. Marketing & Partnerships

  • Work closely with ACUE’s marketing and communications team to implement market-making strategies, conduct customer outreach activities and represent ACUE at conferences
  • Assist with management of strategic partnerships

IV. Organizational & Services/Program Development

  • Work with ACUE’s executive team to implement account management and sales function, e.g. through regional specialization, sector specialization (2-year, 4-year, for-profit), etc.
  • Work with ACUE’s executive team to plan and leverage B2B relationships to form robust relationships with individual educators, including peer networking and job sourcing capabilities

Skills and Experience

  • Proven success selling educational solutions into the US post-secondary or K-12 market, with experience working with Provost-level institutional leaders, or comparable business development experience
  • Experience selling online teaching and learning programs and related services, preferably in a training/professional development context
  • Results-oriented with a commitment to near-term revenue goals and long-term strategy
  • Experience negotiating and structuring complex, multi-year deals, RFPs, and contracts
  • Business and financial acumen to form strategic business and territory development plans
  • Exceptional communication skills to message and communicate the company’s vision and mission, and present to senior higher education leaders, advisors, and potential partners
  • Analytical abilities, including business and deal/financial modeling, pricing strategies and execution, and business case development
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment where change is a constant

Regional Director of Academic Programs

The Position

Are you a teaching and learning professional dedicated to impacting student success? Would you like to inform the national conversation on the importance of teaching excellence?  Join our vibrant team of experienced educators!

We seek to hire a Regional Director of Academic Programs for the Southeast.  The Regional Director will engage with colleges and universities across the Southeast to plan dynamic faculty development offerings featuring the ACUE Course in Effective Teaching Practices.  The Course is the first nationally-recognized program in faculty development, is endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE), and leads to a landmark Certificate in Effective College Instruction.  The Regional Director is the key academic advisor for all institutions in the Southeast, managing both the Course experience and the partner relationship.

The work is fast-paced and multi-faceted and includes assisting colleges to deliver the program, onboarding college-based facilitators, facilitating faculty orientation sessions, advising on pedagogical issues, and reviewing success.  An effective Regional Director will build a lasting collaboration with his/her campus partners in the joint mission of promoting student success through teaching excellence.

The Regional Director reports to the Executive Director of Program Development and is part of a team of education professionals who collaborate to provide programs that impact faculty satisfaction and student success.  The Regional Director also works directly with the Regional Director of Institutional Partnerships for the Southeast and provides academic support by attending initial meetings with potential partners to describe the learning design, leads tours of Course modules, and advises on strategies to implement the program.

Other areas of focus may include providing feedback on the course and delivery methods, representing ACUE at national conferences, delivering webinars, assisting in research efforts, and collaborating on ACUE initiatives.  The successful candidate will possess a teaching background, experience developing and leading faculty development initiatives, finely-honed facilitation skills, a proven track record of building relationships leading to successful outcomes, and a drive to impact higher-education teaching and learning.


  • Direct ACUE programs at colleges and universities located in the Southeast
  • Assist institutions in delivering ACUE programs as an integral part of faculty development offerings
  • Consult on faculty development initiatives
  • Onboard and provide support for Course facilitators
  • Facilitate ACUE presentations including faculty orientations, course experience workshops, module tours, and conference presentations
  • Collaborate on the design of materials and processes to assist course takers and facilitators to achieve successful outcomes
  • Manage the overall Course experience and partner relationships in the Southeast
  • Represent ACUE at conferences, campus presentations, and organizational meetings
  • Strategize with the Regional Director of Institutional Partnerships to introduce ACUE to potential partners
  • Consult with internal ACUE stakeholders on implementation design, MOUs, institution analysis, and other needs for Southeast institutions

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years teaching experience in higher education
  • Master’s degree or higher
  • Experience designing and delivering faculty development
  • Knowledge of higher education issues and regional initiatives
  • Experience working with diverse groups of faculty learners
  • Excellent facilitation and presenting skills
  • Experience facilitating in-person and online presentations
  • Administration and/or consulting experience
  • Proven attention to detail, advanced problem solving skills, and flexibility
