Partnership Director

The Position

Reporting to the Executive Director for Institutional Partnerships, the Director is an integral team member responsible for building ACUE’s market position by assisting with business and partnership development, marketing, post-sale strategies, and operational tactics that will enable ACUE to achieve its goals. The successful candidate will work closely with ACUE’s Institutional Partnerships team as well as across functions to execute against ACUE’s growth strategy.

Responsibilities

I. New Customer Acquisition

  • Identify, develop, and secure new institutional customers to adopt ACUE’s Professional Development program, course and certificate
  • Assist in developing various partnership models, packages, and pricing structures for institutional partnerships, including enterprise agreements, per seat programs, and custom content

II. Account Management & Customer Satisfaction

  • Manage existing accounts within territory
  • Expand reach at existing accounts and identify areas to grow course-takers each year
  • Manage customer feedback loop to ensure customer satisfaction and that such input informs product development
  • Implement CRM to track partnerships from inception through implementations

III. Marketing & Partnerships

  • Work closely with ACUE’s marketing and communications team to implement market-making strategies, conduct customer outreach activities and represent ACUE at conferences
  • Assist with management of strategic partnerships

IV. Organizational & Services/Program Development

  • Work with ACUE’s executive team to implement account management and sales function, e.g. through regional specialization, sector specialization (2-year, 4-year, for-profit), etc.
  • Work with ACUE’s executive team to plan and leverage B2B relationships to form robust relationships with individual educators, including peer networking and job sourcing capabilities

Skills and Experience

  • Proven success selling educational solutions into the US post-secondary or K-12 market, with experience working with Provost-level institutional leaders, or comparable business development experience
  • Experience selling online teaching and learning programs and related services, preferably in a training/professional development context
  • Results-oriented with a commitment to near-term revenue goals and long-term strategy
  • Experience negotiating and structuring complex, multi-year deals, RFPs, and contracts
  • Business and financial acumen to form strategic business and territory development plans
  • Exceptional communication skills to message and communicate the company’s vision and mission, and present to senior higher education leaders, advisors, and potential partners
  • Analytical abilities, including business and deal/financial modeling, pricing strategies and execution, and business case development
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment where change is a constant

Academic Director

The Position

Are you a teaching and learning professional dedicated to impacting student success? Would you like to inform the national conversation on the importance of teaching excellence?  Join our vibrant team of experienced educators!

We seek to hire Academic Directors across the country. Academic Directors will engage with colleges and universities to plan dynamic faculty development offerings featuring the ACUE Course in Effective Teaching Practices. The Course is the first nationally-recognized program in faculty development, is endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE), and leads to a landmark Certificate in Effective College Instruction. An Academic Director is the key academic advisor for partner institutions, managing both the Course experience and the partner relationship.

The work is fast-paced and multi-faceted and includes assisting colleges to deliver the program, onboarding college-based facilitators, facilitating faculty orientation sessions, advising on pedagogical issues, and reviewing success. An effective Academic Director will build a lasting collaboration with his/her campus partners in the joint mission of promoting student success through teaching excellence.

The Academic Director reports to the Executive Director of Program Development and is part of a team of education professionals who collaborate to provide programs that impact faculty satisfaction and student success. The Academic Director also works closely with a Partnership Director and provides academic support by attending initial meetings with potential partners to describe the learning design, leads tours of Course modules, and advises on strategies to implement the program.

Other areas of focus may include providing feedback on the course and delivery methods, representing ACUE at national conferences, delivering webinars, assisting in research efforts, and collaborating on ACUE initiatives. The successful candidate will possess a teaching background, experience developing and leading faculty development initiatives, finely-honed facilitation skills, a proven track record of building relationships leading to successful outcomes, and a drive to impact higher-education teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Direct ACUE programs at colleges and universities
  • Assist institutions in delivering ACUE programs as an integral part of faculty development offerings
  • Consult on faculty development initiatives
  • Onboard and provide support for Course facilitators
  • Facilitate ACUE presentations including faculty orientations, course experience workshops, module tours, and conference presentations
  • Collaborate on the design of materials and processes to assist course takers and facilitators to achieve successful outcomes
  • Manage the overall Course experience and partner relationships
  • Represent ACUE at conferences, campus presentations, and organizational meetings

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years teaching experience in higher education

Product Manager

The Position

The Product Manager will engage in various roles supporting and implementing the ACUE Course in Effective Teaching Practices, the first nationally-recognized program in faculty development, driving our mission of promoting student success through teaching excellence.

Reporting to the Senior Product Manager, this position is responsible for managing a broad spectrum of company technology and solutions, used both by ACUE staff and our faculty course-takers, nationwide. The work is fast-paced, multi-faceted, and detail-oriented. And we’re a bit obsessive about quality.

Areas of focus include program onboarding and content production, quality assurance surrounding program delivery and application development, technical support, web site content administration, user documentation and training, soliciting feedback on course user experiences and delivery methods, and more. The successful candidate will deeply engage with the ACUE program offering, build strong relationships with colleagues and customers, familiarize themselves with the needs of stakeholders, and relentlessly pursue program improvement and user satisfaction. You should also possess some degree of technical background (but you don’t have to be a developer) and a drive to impact higher-education teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

  • Learning management system administration, including content production and maintenance, course instance production, enrollment management, badging and certificate management, and reporting support
  • Production and application development quality assurance
  • Design internal tools for improving production and quality assurance processes and automating routine tasks.
  • Training content development, product release notes, knowledge base development and management
  • Web site content maintenance and marketing support
  • Internal systems administration

Skills and Experience

  • Analytical Skills: you must be able to recognize the needs of both internal and external users, and create new applications that answer those needs.
  • Technical Skills: not a developer, but maybe you’ve done some scripting or web page development, or can generally read code. You’re strong with excel, data, and learn new technology quickly.
  • Problem-Solving: as issues come up, you need to be able to make decisions that move the project forward.
  • Communication: you should be able to clearly communicate your ideas to end users, teammates, and management.
  • Creativity: help to invent new ways of approaching problems and develop innovative applications.
  • Alignment: familiarity with higher education, connection with or affinity for education and ACUE’s mission, are plusses.

Research Associate

The Position

The Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) seeks to hire a Research Associate, Evaluation. The Research Associate will primarily work to measure impact of the ACUE Course in Effective Teaching Practices, the first nationally-recognized program in faculty development, endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE), leading to a landmark Certificate in Effective College Instruction.

Reporting to the Director, Programs and Evaluation, this position is responsible for leading activities in the area of program evaluation, including statistical analyses and report generation. The work is fast-paced, multi-faceted, and detail-oriented. An effective Research Associate will also build strong relationships with colleagues and customers in the joint mission of promoting student success through teaching excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Consistently produce high quality analysis with emphasis on statistical analysis.
  • Develop sound analytic frameworks and associated analytic methodologies/ techniques for addressing both structured and unstructured problems.
  • Generate compelling visualizations of quantitative datasets and qualitative data or process diagrams. Communicate results of work in a clear and concise fashion. Document work efficiently and accurately.
  • Maintain strong partner relationships through effective and timely communication and high quality work.
  • Make significant contributions to research publications and analytic products and other related activities such as proposal preparation.
  • Work with minimal or no guidance on focused, well-structured projects as well as more complex, less-structured tasks.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Minimum Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, PhD preferred.
