As part of the ongoing program evaluation component of the ACUE course implementation at your school, we are asking you to administer the Student Questionnaire. In addition to helping us evaluate the overall impact of the ACUE course, student feedback collected from the ACUE Student Questionnaire can be useful as another point of feedback from your students. We all recognize that this has been an atypical semester. The student survey is a valuable opportunity to hear from students and is not an evaluation of individual faculty.
A report of your students’ responses will be made available to you shortly after the survey closes. You will receive that report through Canvas, and it will not be shared with anyone at your school; it is for your own use.
The survey open and close dates are specific to each school, based on their academic calendar. You can see your open and close dates and receive your unique link on Canvas.
The survey takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete. There is sample text in Canvas, that is also available below, that you can use when sending your link to your students. Feel free to edit it as needed.
Students will not be asked to share any identifying information. All student responses will be aggregated, and no students or faculty will be identifiable in the reporting that ACUE sends to your school.
Your link is unique to you for distribution to your students—this unique link allows ACUE to prepare a report summarizing your students’ responses. To maintain anonymity of your students, you will only receive a report if at least 15 responses are received from your students.
If you have any questions about this survey, please contact your facilitators or ACUE’s research department at [email protected].
Thank you!
Congratulations on making it to the end of the semester!
In addition to teaching this semester, I have also been a student in an online course in effective teaching. This is a rigorous program and as part of measuring its impact I would love to ask you, my students, a few questions about my teaching. Please note that your responses will be completely anonymous and taking the survey cannot affect your grade in any way. Your participation, however, is both greatly appreciated and extremely helpful to improving not only my teaching, but teaching at [SCHOOL] in general. Thank you in advance for your time and have a great break.
