Cox is a senior lecturer in the Health Education department at San Francisco State University (SFSU) where she teaches courses on Health and Social Psychology including a range of courses on creativity, human potential, and healing.
In addition to her core teaching at SFSU, Cox has taught Art as Healing with Kaleo and Elise Ching. She works with MPH students to create electronic portfolios and coordinates the ePortfolio Initiative at SFSU, working campus-wide with faculty on comprehensive assessment strategies using student electronic portfolios. As a visiting scientist at Cisco Systems, she advised the World Wide Education Group on new collaborative learning software and online teaching solutions for K-12 and higher education applications.
Cox holds a PhD in Psychology and her fields of specialization include Social Psychology, Creativity and Health, Health Communication, and Teaching and Learning Technologies.
