Sarah Heine
Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives
ACUE
Ms. Heine is the Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives for ACUE. She has over 20 years of experience in education that has centered on shaping learning and development experiences for educators and educational leaders. For the past 20 years, she has played multiple leadership roles at TNTP, a national education nonprofit that works at every level of the public education system to attract and train talented teachers and school leaders, ensure rigorous and engaging classrooms, and create environments that prioritize great teaching and accelerate student learning. During her tenure with TNTP, Heine served as the Chief of Staff to the leadership team where she advised on strategy, accountability, innovation, and the implementation of organization-wide initiatives, as well as the Talent & Culture Partner who guided TNTP’s strategy on organizational culture and learning, staff engagement, and DEI. Previously, she was TNTP’s Vice President of Training and Certification where she set the strategic direction and leadership of TNTP’s teacher training and certification programs, including the organization’s curricular products. Regardless of role, her passion centers on driving the learning and growth of individuals, teams and organizations.
Heine began her career as a Teach for America Corps member teaching high school English in New Orleans, Louisiana, and holds a BA in English from Boston University.
