Many students hesitate to seek career advice, often feeling more comfortable approaching a trusted instructor rather than visiting the career center. But faculty may be unsure of how to have initial career conversations without stepping into an adviser role. This course addresses that challenge by equipping instructors with questions to confidently engage students in initial career-focused discussions that encourage self-exploration around their future goals and career interests. By highlighting the importance of internships and campus resources like the career center, faculty can help students feel more comfortable seeking out resources to engage in additional career explorations and prepare for their future.
