Your institution’s investment in great teaching is good news worth sharing. We can help your communications team draft and distribute stories—including op-eds, interviews, and features— among local and national media outlets.
To attract external media coverage, you could send a press release to local news outlets or work with a campus champion to draft an op-ed. Please notify ACUE’s communications team about any media coverage, and we would be delighted to promote it on our news page, in our newsletter, and on our social media.
External Communications Resources
Use these resources to help you share your ACUE partnership with the media, your partners, and the world at large. They will help you communicate your commitment to your faculty and students through excellence in teaching and learning.
To publish opinions or perspectives that appeal to a broad audience, consider drafting a letter to the editor or an opinion piece for your local newspaper or a thought leadership piece for an industry publication. Administrators invested in student success or faculty members who frequently publish their research are great candidates to author these pieces.

ACUE’s biweekly newsletter and blog share the latest news in teaching and learning with over 40,000 higher education leaders, educators, and other stakeholders nationwide. Educators receive ongoing support to reinforce and refine their teaching, stay current on research in the field, and advance the national conversation. ACUE invites contributions from our partners on higher education teaching and learning topics and research that are of interest to them.
We know that many of our partners are leaders in national and regional conference sessions, sharing the incredible work your institutions are doing around student success. We encourage you to reach out to us if we can help support your sessions or if you’d like to invite an ACUE representative to serve as a co-presenter.
If you’re thinking about proposing a conference session related to pedagogy or student success, we’d love to know! We frequently attend national and regional conferences and would be happy to support your efforts—in brainstorming, writing an abstract, co-presenting, or even simply attending your session.
We’re continually updating our resources as we learn from and alongside our partners. Don’t see a template or download best suited to your needs in our toolkit? Contact our ACUE marketing team at [email protected], and we’ll work with you to find a solution.
