Catherine Castillo is the Partnership Director at ACUE for the West Coast Region. She has spent over 15 years working in business development, marketing, and corporate partnership roles. Her passion for developing key relationships with university partners, associations, the healthcare sector and corporate organizations for higher learning outcomes in the workforce has been both rewarding and empowering. She is most excited about the work that ACUE has achieved by eliminating equity gaps through effective teaching practices.
Most recently, Castillo was the Regional Vice President of New Partners & Business Development at Wiley University Services. At Wiley, she was an integral part of a business development team that generated and maintained key university relationships in the higher education space. Her main objective was landing multimillion-dollar business proposals based on long-term, complex, solution-based sales processes with higher education institutions. Her experience ranges from earlier work as a marketer at NBC to cultivating relationships with organizations like the California State University system, Cigna Health, Los Angeles Unified School District, and Boeing.
Castillo earned her BS in Business and Marketing from the University of California, Riverside. Coming from an Air Force family, she has lived in Germany, England, Nebraska, Illinois, and now resides in Los Angeles, California.
