Dr. Jodi Robson is an Academic Strategy Consultant at ACUE. She has over 24 years of experience in the field of education ranging from K-12 public education to higher education including public research universities and the Florida community college system. Robson served as an ACUE facilitator at Indian River State College (IRSC) and for the North Carolina Student Success Center. Her passion and desire to advocate for and to engage faculty in quality professional development has grown over the years, particularly given her leadership role directing faculty development at IRSC, an Aspen Institute award winner in 2019. Robson feels strongly that as educators our goal is to ensure all students are provided with a quality education that offers the opportunity for mobility and engagement in a society with many challenges. ACUE’s commitment to support teaching and student success across the country is what drew her to the organization.
Prior to joining ACUE, Robson served as full professor at IRSC teaching developmental reading and education courses and served as the Chair of the Developmental Education Department. In 2014, Dr. Robson was appointed the Director of the Institute for Academic Excellence (IAE) at IRSC – supporting faculty with professional development and serving as the ACUE lead facilitator at her institution. Robson is a co-founder of The Coffee Shop, a collaboration among Florida colleges who have provided ACUE courses to their faculty, which includes Indian River State College, Broward, Florida Gateway, Miami Dade, and Santa Fe College. The Coffee Shop highlights the work of ACUE learners and alumni with webinars and espresso shots that focus on evidence-based teaching practices or strategies.
Robson graduated from Penn State University with a B.A. in Administration of Justice and received a certificate in Elementary Education from Moravian College.
