During the webinar, Dr. Bulger will share insights into AI's impact on college leadership.
Dr. Stephanie Bulger joined Lane Community College as its eighth president on July 1, 2022. She holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Michigan. Her academic background is in literature through a Masters from the University of Utah and Bachelors from Brigham Young University.
Prior to coming to Lane, Dr. Bulger was a vice chancellor at the San Diego Community College District and Wayne County Community College District where she also served in multiple campus and district leadership roles including campus associate dean, dean of distance learning, campus chief academic officer, and associate vice chancellor. Her experience teaching English and community college leadership courses at colleges and universities has provided her direct insight into the student and faculty experience.
Dr Bulger brings to LCC passions for increasing equitable access to college and improving outcomes for community college students. She has served as a consultant on technology trends impacting higher education. Her writings on the at-risk student, educational technology, innovation, and distance learning have been published in books, industry newsletters, and monographs. Dr. Bulger’s experience working for an educational technology start-up company has influenced her to promote entrepreneurial initiatives that advance learning, student support, and workforce development.
In her spare time, Dr. Bulger enjoys hiking, the arts, travel, genealogy, and reading presidential biographies. She enjoys the natural beauty of Lane County and southern Willamette Valley.

During the webinar, Flower Darby will discuss how faculty can use AI to support teaching and learning.
Flower Darby celebrates and promotes effective teaching in all modalities to advance equitable learning outcomes for all students. She’s an Associate Director of the Teaching for Learning Center at the University of Missouri. Prior to that, she held roles such as Assistant Dean of Online and Innovative Pedagogies, Director of Teaching for Student Success, and Senior Instructional Designer.
These roles have allowed her to build on her experience teaching in person and online for over 27 years in a range of subjects including English, Technology, Education, Leadership, Dance, and Pilates.
In her current work and publications, Darby empowers faculty to teach inclusive and equity-focused classes in all modalities. Her recent books include The Norton Guide to Equity-Minded Teaching (2023) and Small Teaching Online: Applying Learning Science in Online Classes (2019), and she’s an internationally sought-after keynote speaker.

While at Ferrilli, he founded Intuition Payment Solutions, a payment platform for higher education. He has diversified Ferrilli’s professional services portfolio to include advisory, leadership, security, infrastructure services, and student information systems consulting. Ferrill is the only organization that is both a Build partner and Premier partner with Ellucian and was also named the 2022 Ellucian Implementation Partner of the Year.
Robert focuses on transforming people, processes, and technology to ensure no student is left behind. He is committed to removing obstacles and designing support structures for students to ensure a successful journey to graduation. Robert is a graduate of Villanova’s Executive MBA program.
