Ms. Murrey is a Video Editor/Videographer at ACUE. Murrey has worked in higher education as a videographer and photographer for over 17 years, 7.5 of those with the College of Education at UT Austin. She deeply believes in transforming lives by creating equitable systems of education, and so she was excited to support ACUE’s commitment to impacting equity and student achievement by improving faculty’s instructional practices.
Murrey has worked in marketing and communication offices at both UT Austin and Texas State University. In addition to creating marketing and recruitment videos for these institutions, she also has substantial experience generating, producing, and editing visual stories about research, teaching, and the student experience.
After finishing her undergraduate degree in sociology at the University of North Carolina at Asheville, she spent a year in Bolivia, South America as a Fulbright scholar. Returning from that adventure, she completed a master’s degree in photojournalism from the University of Texas at Austin.
She currently resides in Austin, Texas.
