The Position

Reporting to the Executive Director of Research, the Manager of Program Evaluation will primarily work to measure impact of ACUE’s courses in effective teaching. ACUE outlined a framework for evaluation in Connecting the Dots:A Proposed Accountability Method for Evaluating the Efficacy of Faculty Development and Its Impact on Student Outcomes, and uses this framework to measure and report outcomes of its courses on credentialed faculty and their students. This position is responsible for supporting activities in this area including close collaboration with partner institutions, project management, data organization and preparation, and reporting. In addition, the Manager of Program Evaluation will support internal analytics focused on continuous improvement. The work is fast-paced, multi-faceted, and detail-oriented. An effective Manager of Program Evaluation will also build strong relationships with colleagues and customers in the joint mission of promoting student success through teaching excellence.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Create systems to manage large and complex projects, including tracking and communicating progress to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders at partner institutions, organizations, and/or research partners to successfully advance research and evaluation projects, including:
    • presenting ACUE’s evaluation framework and process;
    • preparing necessary documents for IRB approvals/data sharing agreements;
    • preparing data requests;
    • reviewing data submissions for completeness; and
    • preparing and/or providing quality control for reports.
  • Generate compelling visualizations of quantitative datasets and qualitative data or process diagrams.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude in interactions with colleagues and partner institutions. Take responsibility for own actions and outcomes.
  • Maintain strong partner relationships through effective and timely communication and high quality work.
  • Provide support to research team in the execution of both internal and external research/evaluation projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Skills and Experience

Education: bachelor’s required, advanced degree in a relevant (quantitative, technical) field preferred.

Skills:

  1. Highly organized, with demonstrated ability to manage complex projects
  2. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills including the ability to effectively translate quantitative results of research/evaluation for various audiences;
  3. Ability to interact positively and productively with various stakeholders at partner institutions;
  4. Ability to operate independently in the execution of assignments;
  5. Strong critical thinking skills;
  6. Excellent computer skills, including advanced proficiency with Excel, with the ability to optimize the use of available software.
  7. Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, dynamic environment where change is constant
  8. Preferred technical skills: InDesign, Tableau, SPSS (or other statistical software)

Summary:
Working closely with the Product team, the Product Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring the development and deployment of our educational applications are smooth and error-free. This is a terrific opportunity for someone with some technical background and experience with quality assurance to help a high growth mission-driven organization meet its goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Defining and leading the end-to-end product quality plan for various systems (learning management system application development, content production and maintenance, customer onboarding, enrollment management, badging and certificate management, and data warehouse / reporting systems)
  • Managing the execution of the quality plan in support of product development
  • Gathering feedback from user groups to better inform specifications for application development
  • Appropriate user documentation and training
  • Internal systems support and administration

Skills and Experience:

  • Product Management experience a plus
  • Quality Assurance / Engineering 2+ years
  • Technical Skills: not a developer (fine if you used to be), but you’ve done some scripting or web page development, worked with data, or can generally read code. You are strong with excel, data and can pick up new technology quickly. SQL, Tableau, PHP, Javascript all a plus.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intensely organized and detail-oriented
