Partnership Director
About ACUE:
The Association of College and University Educators’ (ACUE) mission is to ensure student success and equity through quality instruction. In partnership with colleges, universities, higher education systems and associations, ACUE prepares and credentials faculty in the evidence-based teaching practices that improve student achievement and close equity gaps. Position Summary:
Reporting to the Senior Executive Director of Partnerships, the Partnership Director is an integral team member responsible for building ACUE’s market position by assisting with new business and partnership development, marketing, post-sale strategies, and operational tactics that will enable ACUE to achieve its goals. The successful candidate will work closely with ACUE’s Partnerships team as well as across functions to execute against ACUE’s growth strategy.
Responsibilities:
New Customer Acquisition, Account Management & Partnership Satisfaction
- Initiate contact with potential customers to generate and qualify leads, promote ACUE’s work, and identify sales opportunities.
- Clearly and convincingly articulate the organization’s offerings and value proposition and overcome initial resistance from prospects.
- Develop and secure new system and institutional partners to adopt ACUE’s courses in effective college instruction.
- Identify areas to support partners to scale.
- Manage customer feedback loop to ensure customer satisfaction and that such input informs product development.
- Track partnerships from inception through implementations in CRM.
Marketing Support
- Work closely with ACUE’s marketing team to implement market-making strategies, conduct customer outreach activities and represent ACUE at conferences.
- Assist with management of strategic partnerships.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven success selling educational solutions into the US post-secondary or K-12 market, with experience working with System Leadership, Presidents, and Provost-level institutional leaders, or comparable business development experience.
- Experience selling online teaching and learning programs and related services, preferably in a training/professional development context.
- Results-oriented with a commitment to near-term revenue goals and long-term strategy.
- Experience negotiating and structuring complex, multi-year deals, RFPs, and contracts.
- Business and financial acumen to form strategic business and territory development plans.
- Exceptional communication skills to message and communicate the company’s vision and mission, and present to senior higher education leaders, advisors, and potential partners.
- Analytical abilities, including business and deal/financial modeling, pricing strategies and execution, and business case development.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and dynamic environment where change is constant.
- Connection with/affinity for education and ACUE’s mission.
Position Details:
A competitive compensation package will be provided commensurate with experience and responsibilities. This full-time position includes salary and benefits. This position is fully remote, but candidates should be based in the Great Lakes Region, specifically, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa. Regular travel for this position is anticipated at 40%. We follow CDC guidance and require staff whose roles require travel to be fully vaccinated due to the requirements of many of ACUE’s partners.
Anticipated Salary Range: $102,000 – $115,000 commensurate with experience and responsibilities.

Position Summary:
As a Product Manager, you will play a key role in planning, analyzing, designing, implementing, and scaling ACUE’s technical product infrastructure as well as the end-to-end user experience on our learning management system. You will be involved in several aspects of the product development process from discovery through sunset. Areas of focus span requirements gathering and documentation, user experience, customer support, analysis, development, automation, and analytics and reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage application development to modify and extend learning management system and portal capabilities, working with full stack developers and other stakeholders
- Interface with multiple departments (content, research, operations, sales) as well as end users to understand stakeholder needs and customer pain points
- Administer the ACUE portal and learning management system, understanding its full feature set, roadmap and API
- Work with the team to drive the product roadmap – align on the roadmap strategy; ensure stakeholder needs are represented and prioritized; maintain transparency about what is being developed, why, and by when
- Serve as the product owner for initiatives related to course taker experience
- Create user stories, technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and test plans
- Participate in day-to-day product development activities as well as agile events such as standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Prepare wireframes and mockups, and test/validate them with users
- Prepare product briefs, communicating business value and customer value to the team
- Ensure successful delivery and adoption of all new features and products
Skills and Experience:
- Technical background and skills like SQL, PHP, basic JavaScript, HTML, git, etc. are required (former developers welcome!)
- Experience with the education technology market (including Instructure Canvas) is a huge plus
- Familiarity with lean and related product design methodologies
- Salesforce experience a plus
- Ability to work in a startup environment, wear many hats, adapt to changes and contribute ideas
- Problem-solving aptitude, analytical mind with a business acumen
- Excellent communication skills
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, required

Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Demand Generation

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategic Marketing, the Senior Digital Marketing Manager, Demand Generation is responsible for driving revenue results and optimizing interactions with all partners across the revenue cycle to accelerate predictable revenue growth.
The successful candidate is passionate about increasing marketing-influenced revenue through brand awareness building among education institutes, thought leadership, lead acquisition, lead nurturing, loyalty marketing and advocacy. The Director will work closely with the sales team and across the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) to build and constantly improve a sophisticated and effective B2B marketing engine.
Responsibilities:
Formalize and manage a strategy that: 1) Focuses marketing investments on demand generation with the goal of growing measurable marketing-influenced revenue. 2) Create and lead a unified B2B campaign development process that works across all channels. 3) Be a thought leader (and doer) as ACUE leverages its MAP and CRM tools to build a sophisticated inbound funnel. 4) Be a deeply integrated partner to ACUE’s expert sales team.
Develop & Manage Strategy to grow marketing influenced revenue
- Responsible for developing and executing a demand gen plan that aligns with marketing KPIs and ACUE’s growth objectives.
- Rapidly experiment across the acquisition funnel, share learnings, and build on those learnings for cumulative gains.
- Pilot and drive ABM program to deliver customized engagements for target personas, industries, and high value partners.
Campaign Development & Management
- Create an integrated demand gen plan and campaign calendar that includes segmentation strategy, multitouch campaign elements across the buyer’s journey, and persona-based messages
- Build and constantly optimize process that leverages and constantly optimizes the organization’s use of Marketing Automation Platform and Salesforce
- Craft compelling content and CTAs with consistent positioning for diverse institutional personas supporting all stages of the customer journey across all channels.
- Collaborate across the communications and marketing team to maximize lead capture across webinars, events, content marketing, partner marketing, and product launches.
- Collaborate with product marketing, communications, and sales teams to plan and schedule campaigns that are aligned with go-to-market launches.
- Ensure websites, landing pages and owned digital channels actively promote demand generation content and campaigns.
- Execute on partner and end-user campaigns targeted at achieving renewal, upsell, and increased lifetime value of ACUE’s customers.
- Penetrate our target accounts and industry segments with the right mix of targeted marketing and ABM programs in partnership with the Sales team.
Support Sales Team
- Work with the sales qualification team to ensure lead quality and high conversion rates to SAL and SQL.
- Develop “sales plays” to support each demand generation initiative and ensure alignment with sales goals
- Develop and create a repeatable, measurable, and scalable demand-to-close process
- Ensure that the sales team is prepared to support campaigns in their assigned regions.
Develop and Maintain Digital Assets
- Maintain complete ownership of all digital campaigns and demonstrate an intimate knowledge of keywords, audiences, budget, and creative
- Create, maintain, and execute a process for managing daily budgets across channels
- Develop, test, and optimize outbound campaign creative, content, channels, and target audiences
- Lead landing page optimization, lead capture, and other on-site strategies that influence conversion rates
- Manage digital media vendor relationships
- Own regular updates of Company website and related web properties
Reporting & Optimization
- Define criteria and scoring for leads, prospects, and key accounts
- Continually track and report on campaign results and metrics, conduct ROI analysis to determine the effectiveness of marketing programs and channels, and optimize campaign efforts for maximum growth
Skills and Experience:
- Deep experience using digital Martech tools to manage lead generation, lead scoring, and account-based marketing, including CRM, Marketing Automation, reporting and insights platforms, web analytics, email marketing, landing page creation, etc.
- Expertise and experience with Salesforce and Pardot
- Understanding and some proficiency in using Social Media Platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and HootSuite
- Experience with WordPress, and website maintenance and design
- Up-to-date, intimate knowledge of SEM, SEO, display, paid social, and analytics tools
- Basic Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
Experience and Education:
- 5+ years of business-to-business (B2B) MarTech experience with a track record of measurable success in developing and growing pipeline through innovative campaigns and programs to scale company growth
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- Track record of delivering on demand generation results within the education space, including revenue contribution.
- Track record of ability to dive deep into metrics for reporting and ability to apply findings to optimize content and timing
- Experience in market analysis
- Familiar with product marketing tactics and integrated marketing campaigns
- History of working collaboratively with sales, marketing, and operational teams
- Experience with A/B testing and tools
- History of designing and building high performing teams
