As we emerge on the other side of the pandemic, colleges are looking for creative, strategic, and impactful opportunities to use their remaining HEERF funds.  Professional development, retention and reengagement activities are HEERF-eligible. Institutions have invested to support faculty with high-impact practices including:

  • Colleges are investing in faculty and student engagement, reacclimating them to campus, supporting ongoing demand for online and hyflex learning, and ensuring student success
  • Upskilling faculty teaching in an online learning environment
  • Supporting faculty increasingly teaching hybrid and/or hyflex classes
  • Giving faculty tools to better support students impacted by pandemic learning loss or interruptions to their education
  • Creating a more inclusive learning environment for students and faculty
  • Investing in faculty confidence and well-being as they return to a new normal on campus
