Celebrating 10 Years
of Teaching Excellence

Matadors and Kangaroos and Mountaineers! Oh my!

What do Matadors, Kangaroos, and Mountaineers have in common?

They’re all working with ACUE to roll out our professional development program for faculty across the country.

The Cal State Northridge Matadors, UMKC Kangaroos, and West Virginia University Mountaineers are among the colleges and universities in ACUE’s inaugural pilot. The partnerships are a cornerstone of ACUE’s approach, as together we improve student outcomes, make educators’ work more rewarding, and help institutions meet their goals.

You can already read about how one professor at Miami Dade College, started to change her teaching practices after she completed ACUE’s Course on Effective Teaching Practices. Hundreds of faculty participated in focus groups to provide feedback on course content and goals.

The partners range in size and geography. Campuses like the City College of New York serve nearly 16,000 students, while others, like the Navajo Nation’s Diné College (1,500 students), serve smaller populations. They represent seven states, from the West Coast (California State University, Los Angeles) to the Midwest (University of Missouri – Kansas City) to the Northeast (Rutgers University-Newark).
