ACUE’s course in Creating an Inclusive and Supportive Learning Environment (geared for those teaching primarily in person) is foundational in teaching practices that enable faculty to create an optimal environment to support learning—including how to increase student engagement, embrace diversity and help students persist in meeting academic challenges.
This course is organized around seven competencies and takes seven to eight weeks to complete. Faculty will learn with a professionally facilitated online cohort with they will share insights and ideas.
Competencies addressed in this course are aligned with the Effective Teaching Practice Framework:
"Creating an Inclusive and Supportive Learning Environment" is one of four courses in the pathway to a Certification in the Effective Teaching Practice Framework, the only certification endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE)

This course is organized around six competencies and takes six to eight weeks to complete. Faculty will learn with a professionally facilitated online cohort with whom they will share insights and ideas.

This course is organized around six competencies and takes six to eight weeks to complete. Faculty will learn with a professionally facilitated online cohort, with whom they will share insights and ideas.

In addition, faculty learn to use grading practices and syllabi design in support of equity.
ACUE’s course in Designing Learner-Centered and Equitable Courses fully supports both instructors who are building a course from the ground up as well as those teaching a pre-designed course.
This course is focused on working with course documents, applying the concepts learned in the modules, and reflecting on the process. Faculty will learn with a professionally facilitated online cohort of faculty members, with whom they will share insights and ideas. The program takes six to eight weeks to complete.
