Charity Peak, PhD
Regional Director of Academic Programs
ACUE
Dr. Charity Peak is a Regional Director for Academic Programs at ACUE. With 20 years of broad-based curriculum design and teaching experience ranging from Pre-K to graduate school, Peak has administered multiple aspects of student success and faculty development programs throughout her career. Focusing mainly on the first-year transition to college and professional military education, Peak has led outcomes-based instructional design, academic resource integration (e.g., library and student support services), and strategic faculty development initiatives for multiple higher education, military, and nonprofit organizations, including the US Department of State, NATO, and other global organizations across Africa and the Middle East. As former Director of Faculty Development for the US Air Force Academy, Peak received the Outstanding Academy Educator Award for her work in student success and faculty development.
Peak’s lifelong passion for teaching and learning started at Michigan State University with her BA in Education. In addition to her Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of South Carolina, Peak holds an MA in Rhetoric and Writing and an MEd Certificate in Adult Learning, Training, and Development from Regis University, where she still teaches as Affiliate Faculty. Peak earned her PhD in Educational Leadership, Research, and Policy from the University of Colorado.
