Ms. Powell is the Director of Operations for ACUE, where she applies her experience in process improvement and streamlining workflows to ensure a positive course experience for ACUE’s partners and course takers. She is passionate about ACUE’s mission and to the belief that through a thoughtful commitment to great teaching, ACUE can enable success for college and university students.
Prior to ACUE, Ms. Powell was the Senior Regional Sales Operations Manager at CU Direct Corporation where, along with a myriad of other responsibilities, she ensured the success of all the credit union’s training, education, and roundtable discussions with clients and staff. She resides in Chapel Hill, and for the last 3 years served on the board of the Chapel Hill Day School where she utilized her strategic and organizational skills in support of the school’s mission. In addition to her board role at CHDS, Cate also worked with SMB Consulting Group providing business consulting services.
A North Carolina native, Ms. Powell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law, with a minor in Psychology from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington.
