Kelsey Shea is the Senior Director of Human Resources and Administration at ACUE, where she guides the organization’s human resources strategy while supporting the achievement of business objectives through effective talent management and business operations practices. Her role entails promoting a positive, inclusive and collaborative work culture that emphasizes communication and compassion. Kelsey considers herself a life-long learner with an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for equity which is what drew her to ACUE. She enjoys the creative side of strategic growth environments and the ability to make an impact on organizational health and business outcomes.
Prior to joining ACUE, Kelsey created and led the HR function at an edtech startup and has extensive HR and business operations experience spanning industries including financial services, senior living, and work experience abroad in New Zealand and Australia. In her previous roles, Kelsey executed strategic and tactical HR operations, including organizational design, professional development and career pathing, change management, compensation and benefits, employee relations, coaching, performance management, DEIB initiatives, engagement, company-wide communications and project management of people initiatives and metrics.
Kelsey holds Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Criminal Justice from Indiana University, and her M.S. from the University of Colorado Denver in Management and Organization with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She has held her Senior Professional of Human Resources certification since 2018.
